I've always been interested in North Dakota history. My maternal grandmother's family farmed near Bottineau in the late 1800's. My grandmother graduated from Bottineau high school in 1918 - the family moved to Minneapolis MN soon after due to poor crops, grasshoppers, if I remember right. I've always wanted to visit your beautiful state :)Originally Posted by Robinlee
Hello from the Turtle Mountains of North Dakota..........We presently live on my DH family farm, 16 miles north of Dunseith, ND., about 4 miles as the crow flies south west of the International Peace Gardens (We can see the Peace Towers from our diningroom windows - what a view). 25 miles north east of Bottineau, ND and 110 miles north east of Minot, North Dakota. When you look at a ND map, go to the center at the Canadian border then go a tad to the right to where to meet the IPG location. That's us. Also if you look at a "Verizon Cell Map", we are the little white dot in ND, that has NO CELL SERVICE. Which can be a pain in our pouty.
:) :) :)

Hi to everyone from the UK! Don.t know where all the other Brits are hiding!! I find this board fascinating! It amazes me to think there are so many people all over the world with this fabric addiction!! Do you think it is something in our food that causes it?????

Hi, robinlee, I used to spend every summer at IPG Music Camp-way back in the 60s. Both of my parents were raised in ND and we went there for summer vacation every year. I haven't been back in over 40 yrs, but always has fond memories for me.Originally Posted by Robinlee
