Sarah Nephew wrote several books published by That Patchwork Place, now Martingale, that used 60 degree diamonds and triangles to construct this quilt and baby blocks, eliminating the Y seam. These were constructed vertically. I believe the books are out of print but I'm sure Amazon or Ebay would be places to look. Sarah also created the Clearview Triangle. I have some of her books but it would take me a long time to find them since the quilt book library is expansive and stored in several places.

Reminds me of some designs by Katie Pasquini, but isn't in the book I have of her's.

It is on the cover of "Big Book of Building Block Quilts" by Sara Nephew. It is on my bucket list.

This pattern is called" Inner City". It is probably 10 years old or more. Hope this helps.

Thanks to Cashs_mom, I found a pattern in there that I wanted, Thickety Mountain.

As for the picture from the original poster, I seem to recall that as Inner City done by Sharlene Jorgenson when her "Quilting from the Heartland" show was on every Saturday.

thank you all for your help. I am going to try and make it on my own. Think I understand how it is constructed.
