    Default Man quilt

I have a stepson who does triathalon races and I want to make him a quilt. I was able to purchase fabric that has different color bicycles another one with runners with grey background and one with motorcycles which I thought I would use for the back. Didn't find one with swimming. Dont want to cut the fabric into small pieces so the print stands out. Does anyone have any suggestions on a pattern that would be suitable? Would greatly appreciate some advice from all you talented quilter. I consider myself still a beginner.

Warm Wishes uses large squares of a focus fabric with a 3 strip alternate block.

A 2nd for Warm Wishes. You can make the focus squares whatever size works for your fabric. Here is the link to the pattern, there are directions for several sizes

Warm Wishes. I have EQ7 so I make the focus block 8" finished. Usually it takes then 10 stripe sets of what I call the sashing.

this is great if you are making a twin size. I made one for my son as one of my first quilts and it really was a quilt in a day. It's great for focus fabrics.
