any quilters you can recommend ? Has your guild had a great show recently? Please send me names so I can contact them...

I would contact Kaffe Fassett, he doe travel and speak in the US and Canada . He typically books is schedule about 6 months in advance. He is a wonderful inspiration of color! You won't look at color the same ever again.

From one extreme to the other ....... for a lesser cost option, perhaps speak with the Guilds immediately around the GTA or beyond ... and ask who they have had for modern quilting presentations, and the success of the individual in presenting to a group. Some may be very talented ... but not the best when it comes to doing their presentations.
Likewise asking LQS' may give you some possibilities.

Although I love Kaffe's work, I agree with dunster: I wouldn't call him a modern quilter.
If you're looking for a modern quilter for your guild, take a look at "The Modern Quilt Guild" website for recommendations. A friend of mind recommends Victoria Findley Wolf in NYC. However, there are others and the website will know who they are.
Hope this helps.

Elizabeth Hartman - she blogs on Oh Fransson! - she is young and has written books and tutorials - I think she even has a craftsy class - she is a modern quilter and I think she would be an excellent choice if available - she really is on the cutting edge and she is just up and coming so may not be near as expensive. Good luck.
