    Just like @Neese, I also wanted a soft and smooth quilt, but a colorful one with flowers and attracting design is what I also wanted.

    Yellow Brick Road is by far my go-to. I like that it's so, so versatile! I think I made one of my prettiest quilts from it.

    I'm sorry... I'm just learning how to navigate this site. You may not have been commenting to me about the pictures but here is one of my favorite recent quilts. Like Victorian Table Runner, it is one of Annette Ornelas' dimensional quilts.

    I also love the Log Cabin blocks, probably because my grandmother did so many of them (each of her grandchildren got Log Cabin quilt when they graduated high school), and also because the blocks can be arrange so differently.

    In a way, I, too, was expecting pictures, but some of the patterns mentioned have given me pictures in my head. I've never heard of the Glacier Star, but would certainly like to see it, and perhaps try it. Next to the Log Cabin, star quilts run a close second! Thanks to all of you for such great ideas!
