    Default Mug Rugs

They are cute. There are many kinds to make. But....I drink a lot of hot chocolate. I would hate to have something so adorable get something on it like that. If I did spill, what could I do in a hurry that would keep it from setting in permanently? (I have not made one yet, I just was wondering)

wash it with water, and it will sty wet till it's washed. I too drink hot chocolate and chai, never really spilled it on one.

I find that items that are washed quickly, the stains won't set. Get on the band wagon. Have fun.

Mug rugs are generally scrap projects, so except for your time, you won't lose much if you get one dirty. But, if that's a concern for you, get some OxyClean and as soon as you get chocolate on your mug rug, put it to soak in the solution you make up according to directions. You'll love making them because they are so quick and easy. froggyintexas

Then you pretend that you wanted it to look aged and distressed. Or you throw it away and make more.
