Have fun with your new baby! Some machine manufacturers have workbooks that take you through all the functions of your machine...I found that really helpful with my first nice sewing machine.

I also like to make a sampler of all the special stitches. Not only is it a great reference, and a good intro to the machine menus, it makes a very pretty piece of sewing room wall art!

I am so happy for you! I will continue my search on Marketplace until the right machine comes my way. Have fun with your new machine.

Love my Janome 8900! What I do to learn a new machine is make 3 x 3" samples as I go through the manual and tape them next to the directions. I may never use some of the functions, but at least I know how. Congratulations!

Fun! Book a time slot with your local quilt store and see what they can teach you about it.

I have the Continental, bought it around a year ago. I really like it. I use the manual, or ask my daughter, as she has the exact machine. Lots of nice features. I like the drop in bobbin. I've had many Bernina's in the past.

I am so happy for you. A new machine certainly motivates a quilter. I currently own a Janome 8900 and love it. I have owned previous Janome machines and loved them too. Enjoy ☺️
