I have watched two of my grandkids since they were 3 months old. Exhausting, but quilting keeps me sane. The GK's are 3 & 5 yrs. old now. And I work. I would go crazy if not for quilting.

I'm right there with you. I went back to work today as an administrative assistant with a school district. Teachers come back on the 18th and the kids start on the 22nd. I'm so going to miss my quilting time. :(

The sad part is when teachers have to teach for the "test". And now it can affect the teachers evaluation. So pile on more days, create more pressure, and have more days that students just wish they weren't in school. Back when I was in school it was first of September to end of May and we received a good education. But I have to admit, do you use affect or effect?

Even in Ontario, different school boards start at different times. I can't imagine being in this heat at school though.
