I always cut my binding on the straight of grain and stretch it a bit when I put it on the quilt. It then tightens up and I don't think I 've ever had a rippled edge.
But then again I do all kinds of stuff other quilters say not to do..........

Will be watching this thread to see how this all turns out. I hope you will post the results of blocking. Dying of curiosity to know if this fixed the problem!

That was my thought. Wet it and lay something flat and heavy on it might help. My round one did that and I just wet it and typed the ends down and let it dry. Came out perfect.

I can see that the binding is already on, so I don't know if this would work without a lot of work. Would denser quilting work in the problem areas?

If the triangle outer edge was cut on a bias that might account for stretching, as it seems to have stretched only in those areas. It would appear that the stretching happened before the binding was attached.

Perhaps very heavy spray starch on the back would flatten it a bit. Ripples and all ....I like it.

Thanks for all your suggestions and compliments. After blocking my table topper it's a lot flatter. I can live with it. Here is the after pic

Did you wash the insulbright before using it? If not that could be the problem. I love the pattern and fabric you used.
