Hi - I am making a Carpenter's Wheel quilt for my sister and her husband for their anniversary. This is the second quilt I have ever made, and the only one big enough to fit on a Queen Size bed. I put a border on 3 sides of the quilt top, but left the "top" edge to be just bound. But I am now wondering if I should put a border on the top too. That way, the quilt will have a border on all four sides. Can anyone suggest the better way of doing this? I want to have it look as good as I can.
    Thanks!
    Terry

I would put borders on all 4 sides. Post a picture when you are finished.

I think you will be happier with the overall look of the quilt if you put all four borders on. It may not look "finished" if you leave one off.

I agree - think you will be happier if you put the border on all four sides.

I also like the look of the border going around all 4 sides. Hugs and smiles, would love to see a photo of your quilts.

I put borders on all four sides of my quilts. I think you would be happier if you did too. I also would love to see a picture. :)

Also, if you put a border on all sides, the quilt can be flipped around so it wears evenly.

I would do a border on all sides, as well for all the reasons stated. Would love to see a picture!
