Any ideas why I can't see this quilt? Gremlins in my computer perhaps?

my first thought is to do a distinctive design (block design) over the star blocks then a running vine down each of the squares. Perhaps a meandering in the surrounding light sextions but not too close which would change the dimension of the overall look. My general rule is to do a consistent densisty overall the quilt. not too quilt more dense in some areas than others. There are many stencils that would fit in the blocks.

You can erase the marker with a piece of batting. This allows you to audition quilting designs without harm to the quilt.
I do that too, however you will want to mark the edges of the plastic as you don't want to get over-enthusiastic and run off the edge...I did this once and learned my lesson really quick ;)

Border the plastic in some blue painter's masking tape - will keep you inside the plastic. Use crayola washable markers! :)

Love the quilt. What about a meandering/stippling with stars instead of loops.
