A lot of people are making the Necessary Clutch Wallet. I've been tempted but have too many other projects I'm working on.

I know I bought one from craftsy.com that was really a nice one. It is a download, so no waiting for it to arrive. You could get started right away. I am in no way associated with the site. I just like their patterns.

I was gifted a Get Carded Wallet made from the pattern by Dog Under My Desk. i just love it. It has everything i need, and nothing I don't. I understand that the pattern offers several different design options, so it can be customized to your specific needs.

My understanding is that the pattern is very easy to follow and really quite addicting. The person who made mine has made about a dozen and blogged about them.
Mine was number 5, I think
Here's her blog post.

You may find her blog also pretty fascinating. While she doesn't quilt (I just can't get her to quilt,) She sews some of the most amazing things. like leather jackets for American Girl dolls, and purses galore.

Default Elaphant in the corner

Made this as a playpad for my granddaughter in flannel. The original pattern was in a magazine with four cats ... I adapted for the animals. Ears and "noses/paws are loose. Binding on inner "blanket" is satin and loose as well.

I second the Necessary Clutch Wallet - I just made my first one and my head has been spinning with ideas for the next. Not hard, just follow the directions. There is a facebook group with good information and videos. Lots of pictures. Here is my first
