Default Need help with melon quilt arrangement!!!

Hi; I am trying to make the modern melon quilt. I have 196 melons made using 2 bali batiks layer cakes and solid background. I am trying to arrange them in a pleasing way but am so frustrated. They are mostly blues and browns. Is there a method to arranging them? Hope you can help me!

Just depends if it is the tradition method or more modern.

Without a picture it's hard to know which melon quilt you are working on. If you have mostly two coloured blocks I might put them in rows like earth and water.

The second of ManiacQuilter2 sites in columns like a ribbon quilt would look very pleasing.

It really is hard to say without a picture, but if you've gone to the trouble to making 196 blocks, the hard part is probably completed.
