    Hi Quilt Board Friends!

I want to make a Panel Quilt for my friends nephew/son. He is 35 and fighting colon cancer and I would like to give him his own special quilt. I bought the panel. It is 42 w X 28 h. Deer with winter scene. Only one picture panel. Need to fill in the rest. I would like it to be very nice but rather simple so that I can make it and get it to him very soon. Thank you for always helping us Neewbie's.

I think I would frame it with borders until I got it the size I wanted. A photo would help to give us an idea of what you are working with:)

Search panel quilts on here or go to diffrent fabric manufacturers websites and click on free patterns, they make freee patterns for most all fabrics. whidham fabrics had several panel quild pattern among other manufacturers, northwoods, clothworks etc.

Go to http://www.hancocks-paducah.com click free patterns. They have a lot of patterns with panels as the start. You may get an idea from there.

Thank you everyone for your support and help. I am still working on a design. The Batiks that I purchased with the panel are much lighter and brighter than they looked on line. I am going to have to go to a LQS with the panel and do a better job of choosing fabric. Thanks again. Yolanda Wood River
