You've gotten lots of tips here and there are several tutorials on FMQing, so I'll just add (again) enjoy the process. I FMQed several small quilts before I finally figured out what works best for me, which turns out to be lots and lots and lots of pins!

I thought about just pinning, but most of the videos I've watched - along with the little samples I've practiced myself - I am afraid that if I have to stop to remove the pins I will lose my groove and it won't look smooth. I suppose it will be something that comes with time. I'm glad this is just a quilt for me. Hoping to get some good practice in before my big project for next Christmas!
