My girlfriend and I just finished our first shop hop adventure! We had such a good time. We chose one district in Oregon that featured 16 different quilt shops! It was a big district but we managed to do it in three days. Both nights we fell into bed exhausted but happy! The hardest part was dividing up the spending money so all was not gone within the first couple of shops! We kept thinking that we were going to get tired of visiting QSs but that never happened. With our trusty (most of the time!) GPS, we made it to all 16 within our alloted time allowance. Have many of you participated in a shop hop before in your area?

It sounds like you had a glorious time! I wish I had a friend to make such a trek.

I love shop hops every shop has something diffrent. I always take paterns or a list of what I need its nice to use frabric from diffrent shops. I know most of the shops in my area now. I would like to shop hop in the Couer d Alen - Spokane area if anyone knows of one comeing up or next spring. Even one on the west side of the mountains would be fun, just a longer trip for me and my friends.

Glad you had a good time. We do the Central Coast Quilt Run every June. We will have anywhere from 5 to 8 ladies going and we have an absolute blast. Usually hit about 15 quilts shops in 2 days (some are not on run any more but we hit them anyway!)

I did my first one this spring with my DH. He handed me his wallet and waited in the pickup. Not quite as much fun as having a friend along to help make choices but we had a great time anyway. We made it most of the way around the state, only missing three shops on the route. Glad you had such a great time!

Yes, I enjoy shop hopping. I go to MN and shop with my SIL. They do a statewide one in MN, but we only take a section or two. It is fun and enlightening (smile). I am glad you had a good time. Looking forward to seeing your creations!!
