Since I have only lived in this area a little over a year and started back up quilting this past summer, I finally had a chance to check out a LQS. Well, it is about 30 minutes from me, but that is as close as they get. Both my boys came along for the ride and enjoyed the toys the shop had for them to play with while I did some shopping :P

It is a nice place and I will return. Best part is that I now know where I can bring my Bernina in for service. Always a good thing. I also picked up some much needed supplies and some fabric, but still have not used them yet. Most likely will not get back to sewing until next week.

In the mean time I had fun making these today. They are for my son's school Fall Festival on Saturday.

    Hope you enjoy them

I think it is wonderful that you can still bake for your kids school, it seems in some areas you are restricted to buying something commerically baked. What a shame - that was the most fun when I was a kid and someones mom came to school with homemade goodies!
