Slow is the answer, however, continue taking out your pins!!!!! Not only you can break your needle but a piece of it can go down into the machine. Ask me how I know LOL (expensive trip to the shop)

TRy too but not always the case even with a 1 14 inch foot with the flange but it does help. But if I go too fast it messES THINGS UP.

I think we all do this at one time or another. I was making a baby quilt and had to hunt and piece whatever I had on hand and I think I ripped seams every other one. Now to top it off I finished sewing the binding on Sat. and washed it to be ready for Sunday and I was checking to make sure there were no strings and low and behold I hate it. the is big place where the binding and the quilt did not do right. Why do we not see these things ahead of time?

My featherweight sews a beautiful straight seam with no problem. Love my featherweight!

I use my pressure foot as a guide, I do pretty well. However, if I start going too fast, not so good. I also wish that machines would have a beep or light to tell you when the bobbin is about to run out.

No I don't sew straight, in fact I once met a blind lady who sewed straighter than I.
