I am making a quilt from a kit with pre cut pieces. I am doing a block that requires applique. I got wonder under and was zipping right along until I realized I put the wonder under on the RIGHT side of the fabric instead of the underside. Am I out of luck or is there a solution to this problem. I do not want to wash the glue out as none of the cuts were washed. Is there anything I can rub on the glue side to remove the glue and then I can put the wonder under on the side it was supposed to go on....Any ideas??

Sometimes the back of the fabric is just as nice as the front ... any chance it will still work as it is??

Good idea. I have used the back side of fabric sometimes on purpose.

I've done the exact same thing!!! Mine was only a little wallhanging kit though ... it's now in the UFO pile. Someday I'll get back to it. I think I can replace the pieces I messed up.

I've done the same thing. I ended up taking a similar fabric from my stash and using that instead.

I suppose there's no chance that those appliques are batiks is there? I'd use those either way! You could "redesign" the quilt to use the wrong side of the appliques. Even turning some of the other pieces to the wrong side. Just a thought. I've seen most everything done on one quilt or another!!

No way to remove wonder under - ask me how I know!!!! Hope you can use the back side of the fabric, that is the only remedy I agree.

can you post a picture of the fabric? maybe someone here has a small piece of it that they'd be willing to send your way.
