    I would change the border if I was keeping it but like most say if you are giving it away to someone who doesn't quilt, it is okay

    I recently incurred a similar situation....and when ripped out my piece in question, my fabric got a small hole in it; I now wish I would have left it alone

    That plaid pieced there would bother me and I'd have to change it. Could be with quilting it wouldn't show.

    Changing the border was the better choice. Actually, it's stunning! The plaids didn't line up and that was distracting to my eye. Your choice is beautiful, the colors vibrant.
