Hubby and I just booked a trip to Orlando. We have a week in Florida. Anyone know of any good quilt shops in or near Orlando?

There is a great store in Winter Haven, which is about an hour away - and worth the drive! It's called Heartfelt Sewing and Quilting. The address is 365 5th St, SW, Winter Haven. They have a great selection of up to date quilting fabrics, Janome sewing machines, a good size classroom and surprisingly enough, they have a wall with kitchen appliances on it. They have a class Tuesday nights where they cook for the class.

The owner was so nice and the staff was wonderful. I live in the north east, but went there with a friend who lives in FL. I had some of my projects with me because I was looking for some coordinating fabric and everyone wanted to see the projects - including the ladies in the class! My friend loved the store and bought quite a few things in there. This was a really nice store and we will definitely be going back there.

There is one east of Orlando in Rockledge called The Quilt Place at 575 Barton Blvd. It's great! Tons of sample quilts, more fabric than you can imagine, friendly staff.

I did visit the Heartfelt quilt shop mentioned above. Nice!

Thanks, I'll have to look that one up and see if it's on the way to St. Augustine. We are going to visit relatives there.

Thank you for the info on both shops. It is always fun to check out shops in a different state.
