Saw the video & would like to try it.My hearing is too poor to get any tips etc from the video. Is there a special ruler needed? Does she use scant or quarter inch seams? What size are the ones made in the video?

the main thing she uses is "the angler". that's the thing on the machine under her blocks. helps line up the pieces. you can purchase this at most quilt stores, either online or in store. it is a really handy thing for sewing hst or diamond shapes. this tool even has the "scant" 1/4 marking for sewing seams.

There is a ruler that you attach to the bed of your machine. Or you can draw a line on your machine. I think she said she sews just to the left of the line to get a scant quarter inch seam.

Thanks all. Love the tips/help you all have to offer.I'm thinking the Angler once lived in my sewing room.Never used it....but is it hid under whatever, or do I need to buy one?
