Looking for a beginner's pattern using Africa america print. One of the ladies in the group want to make something out of 1 yard of fabric she has.

i do very simple patterns as the fabric is what I want to emphasize. The Turning Twenty, type works for me.

I have even made quilts from ethnic prints using just squares.

BQ by Maple Island Quilts makes a pattern using large blocks that can showcase a particular fabric.

I am making a quilt out of Africn material right now. I am using the snowball pattern with a plain material at the corners. The African material is very busy. I think the simplier the pattern the better as then you emphasize the African material.
