    Whatever you do, suggest that they make TWO blocks each week - one for the quilt NOW and one for a future quilt - where all you have to do is sew the finished blocks together. That is what my sister told me when I took my first quilting class. Three years later, I had a chance to use the finished blocks - NICE !
