Well I got my order from Hancock fabrics of thermolam fusible fleece. This is thinner than what I had before. I hate buying online for this very reason. I didn't have the number for the one I used up so I just bought what I thought was right. My winter place mats I made earlier turned out very nice. flat and thicker than any I make with this new fusible. Do you think I can use fusible on both fabrics, front and back? of course then i'd be using it up twice as fast. has anyone used this thinner fusible fleece and been happy with it??

971 is what I use for handbags and fabric boxes....I love the stiffness and ease of use.

. This one feels a bit thin. I may use it for purses or totes but wanted my place mats to feel better. I guess I will try one. Thanks lots.

You may have been wanting Pellon 987F. It is listed in at least 2 of my bag patterns.

I use TP970--sew-in style. Adds nice thickness to potholders .

I used Pellon TP971F Fusible Thermolam Plus on a lap quilt, and it seems to my tastes to be too stiff. Probably better for placemats, table runners, and other things which aren't supposed to be "cuddly".

Even if you ordered the same number you've used before doesn't mean it will be the same quality and thickness. Everything from t-shirts, undies, jeans, and the fabric we buy is getting thinner but the prices are going up.
