Default Question about Minky Binding on Quilt

I have a quilt top done that is part Minky and has a flannel backing. I'm thinking of Minky binding on it. Has anyone here done one of those before? Any hints? Or, should I go with a flannel binding? Would like to cross this UFO off my list! Any help is appreciated.

Personally I would go with flannel binding.
I can see cutting the backing larger, then bringing the minkee backing up and over the front to self bind, but I'm not sure about cutting strips and doing a regular binding. Seems that unlike most fleece products, minkee's edges fray so you'd have to fold them over which would create lots of bulk. Lets see what others say!

Thanks! I was concerned about bulk too. I've also considered using a satin type of fabric for binding.

I used satin baby blanket binding on a quilt with minky back and i loved how it turned out . I found it in the same place as bias tape at Joanns.

Don't think minky would be the way to go - too much bulk and it stretches easily.

minky would be so hard to do as binding. I have used it on a few quilt backs and it is wonderful.

I just finished a baby quilt with minky binding. It looks and feels great and didn't add a lot of bulk. It does take more pinning to keep the binding from shifting while sewing. Good luck with your quilt.
