I've just finished that red star quilt. It's red and white so all the little red fuzzies and all the little white fuzzies want to live on top of the quilt. (I've cut all the threads these are just the little "bits".

Is there a way I can get the lint off quick and easy? I know if you do something and something else and put a black dress in the dryer it will come out with the lint removed. But I don't know what you do.

My mom knows but I can't ask her how to delintify her own quilt.

I use a sticky paper roller like you use on clothes.

I also use one of those sticky lint rollers on both sides of my quilts to remove lint, bits of thread and any stray cat hair that may be lingering on them. I then fold them, wrap in muslin and keep in a labeled shopping bag until they are ready to gift wrap.

If you don't have a lint roller, which I lose in my house all the time, I use packing tape. Just cut a piece, roll it inside out on your hand and it works great!

I told DH he'd have to "tape/roll" it for me. But I thought the dryer thing might be less work. Not to mention I have cats and can't spread the monster out, so I was looking for an easier answer.

We have this crazy dusting fabric that picks up everything I told DH maybe we could throw one or two of those in the dryer with the quilt on "fluff" to suck the linties off, but even with my super mega capacity dryer DH tells me it would just take then lint off the outside part and do nothing about the inside. :roll:

Advice is what we ask for when we know the answer and wish we didn't.

yup, lint roller, my most used (non sewing) accessory in my quilting room!

Why not try the dryer on fluff? If it dosen't work, you really haven't lost much. You might have to reposition the quilt a time or two. I use the dryer to delint all the time. Phyllis
