I started my "quilting life" with a couple of kits my husband bought...not really in my style, but he got them at a bargain price and they were great practice. A lot of people get a lot of pleasure from, and, turn out gorgeous quilts using kits. I haven't bought any personally...but I'm sure someone will point you in the most cost effective direction.

I purchase kits occasionally usually at quilt shows or visiting LQS when traveling. Although I enjoy picking our my own fabrics, it's fun to have all that done for too.

Once in awhile I buy them and I have fun. I don't have to think as much lol
I have enjoyed Connecting Threads kits but I always buy them on clearance, well almost always! :D

I am addicted to quilt kits. I find it a good learning experience, my next one I want to do is the Moonglow by Jinny Beyer. I have designed a few quilts for my boys and myself, but I just love the kits.
