The pattern is called Autumn Almanac by Scott Murkin. It was published in the Spring 2013 issue of Quilt's from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks. It is charted as a three color, but I just used the two. It is pretty simple really. If I make this again, I will make the bars of the blocks a little longer, like 1/4" or 3/16". There were a few that ended up being a little small, I would rather cut a little off than be short.

The issue was a great asset to me. I have made five different quilts out of it. So well worth the price of the issue.

I just sort of made it....with the focus fabric all being the same size, and then a strip of white on the top and bottom. Then I alternated the blocks. In researching though, it looks a lot like Take Two. And I found a reference to that pattern on our board, though I couldn't seem to locate the pattern from the link provided. Maybe you will have better luck?

two fabric quilt ideas
I made a black/red and white/red quilt for my DBIL who is battling cancer. I used Anita Grossman Solomon's "Anita's Arrowhead" pattern. I got it free from the internet. It made a wonderful quilt. Only problem with the pattern is that you're seaming a lot of bias edges, so starch well. It went together quite easily because of her clever method.

Try Anita's Arrowhead by Anita Grossman Solomon. I did one with black/red and white/red and it was wonderful. Her techniques are very labor-saving, but have your fabric well starched! You'll be joining blocks with bias edges. I think you can still get the pattern online.

One of my favs is the "Dorothy Quilt from Windham Fabrics. It's very simple and beginner friendly. I only takes 2 fabrics and you can increase the size by adding an extra border. And, best of all the pattern is free at Windham website.

I have 2 absolutely gorgeous quilts in mind. As a matter of fact I have all of the material for both.
Look online for "Peppermint Easy" quilt block pattern and look at the cover of
"More Simple Quilts with Splash, Dash, and Panache." (amazon carries this book).
