    Default Quilt switch plate cover

Has anyone ever found a quilt themed switch plate cover? Still working on my sewing room and would like one, if not 2 covers. I've been looking at etsy and have been through 38 pages now without success. Has anyone ever made one and is it hard to do?

There used to be clear ones you could buy at Lowes. I put fabric behind them to match the room.

I have taken fabric and decoupaged it one cheap plastic covers before. Just use two or three coats and make sure you let each coat dry in between coats. I use Mod Podge but you can just use white glue also.

Haven't seen any in all my wandering about the internet. However you can make your own and make it cleanable. I did this when I couldn't find a magnet for my dishwasher. You can buy clear, fusible plastic, which irons onto fabric, cut it and mold onto the switch plate cover and attach. Plastic can be found in the yardage area at Walmart. A little craft paint will cover the screw.

I think it would easy to make your own and it looks like you got great ideas from others. I have seen clear plastic covers that you could put any piece of fabric under that too. Good luck to you

I found several using my friend Google and using the terms “decorative wallplate” and “quilt wallplate”. Here’s a nice one to customize your own

Thanks, maybe my search terms just weren't right. I'll check this out.

I just searched on the web using the term "wallplates for quilters" and this was the first site I looked at. There are many out there to choose from. Happy hunting!
