Does Anyone have a "Quilt As You Go" pattern? I saw one on Fons & Porter this morning but you need to buy their magazine to get the pattern and I need one in a hurry for a baby quilt. I am still not confident enough on quilting a full quilt to give it as a gift.

Do a board search for QAYG and you will find patterns, tutorials, and videos to explain them all :D:D:D

Here's how Quilter's Cache does QAYG. You can do any block you want - say 12". The backing can either be a plain backing or another block of the same size.

This one is quick and easy no hand sewing or adding strips.

I agree with qbquilts that you can choose any pattern you like. QAYG is the method that allows you to quilt the block with the backing on so you won't be struggling with the whole finished quilt top.

Alex Anderson of Simply Quilts did a Stitch 'n' Flip Baby quilt a while ago. You can still find it on the internet. Just do a search for Stitch 'n' Flip Baby quilt (or Simply Quilts) & it should bring up the directions. They are very fast & cute.
