I thought everyone would enjoy this article, and I hope I've put it in the right location (if I've not I apologize and hopefully someone will gently nudge me to the appropriate place).

This is just awesome that folks see the beauty in making quilts. Hope it makes you smile like it did me.

You know what? I just loved reading that. It made me smile. I'd love to get my DH into quilting.

I think it's great ... it shows that quilting isn't "girly" ... it's intended to be a hobby and something to pass down to our future generations.

Having been a trucker, (hubby and I drove together as a team over the road) I can testify that there are lots of times that drivers get bored out of their minds! When you're waiting to load or unload you can't get out and go to nearby stores to browse or shop while you wait...you have to stay with your truck. If you have a valuable load, you can't drop your trailer and bobtail to find something to do either....
    I crocheted a lot...knitted...read...I wasn't quilting at the time...shoulda! :)

It just shows his heart is as big as he is!!! My son is a trucker and I can't imagine him sewing or quilting. That is what mom is for at the end of the run!!! My wonderful DIL doesn't sew.
