Well. Looks like I need to check out Creative Grids.

I REALLY like my 5x24 ruler that has a "lip" to grab the edge of the cutting mat.

There is a new ruler by Quilters Select, that is supposed to be fabulous. I don't have one yet, but that is what I'm going to try the next time I need to replace my rulers. They don't have an 8 x 24 but do have a 6 x 24, and a few other sizes. The numbers read left to right and right to left, so it doesn't matter which way you use the ruler or if you are right or left handed. They are frosted, so it is easy to see on fabric, and they have a non slip coating over the entire ruler, not just in "spots" like the Creative Grids. They are supposed to be coming out with more sizes in the future also.

I agree, especially since they have improved the grip on them. Most of my rulers are Creative Grids.

I have both a 6" and an 8" version. I started with the 6" and bought the 8" version after I took a French Braid class and needed the 8" width for trimming.

I just got turned on to Creative Grids rulers and love them.

I gave mine away because the lip annoyed me!

Good thing that more than one brand is available!
