    Default Rainbow Scrap Challenge

Does anyone follow along with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge hosted by http://superscrappy.blogspot.com/

I've been working on a few blocks today and starting to get ideas for blocks for next year. Thought it would be fun to share some pictures. I've been sewing up my crumbs each month and making these:

Next year I'm thinking of making string blocks for each monthly color.

What about you? Do you have pictures of your RSC projects?

I have my top together, but I haven't quilted it yet. Mine is string blocks arranged in a rainbow pattern.

While I do follow several blogs, I’ve not heard of the superscrappy one. I’ll be anxious to check it out. Love your scrappy blocks and color arrangement.

I'm curious as to what size "scraps" you start with. I went and took a look and the pictures are beautiful!!!

Here, too. And a question for the board at large -- what, to you, is a scrap? I had one book that defined "scrap" as "anything less than a yard that has been cut into." By that definition, most of my stash is scraps!

My own definition is "anything smaller than a sheet of paper (sweet 16) down to 2 1/2 × 2 1/2." Anything smaller than that but bigger than 1/2" is a "bit." Smaller than that is a twiddle, and it gets discarded. The crumb quilt I'm working on now is bits and strings.
