A few months ago;my friend said that she dropped off several bags at the local st vinny store. Shopped for a time, left the store and the bags she brought in went out to the dumpster. When she asked why, 'We have way too much clothing'. She said ,'she wished they would have told her, she would have taken them somewhere else'. Now it won't happen again; she's done donating to that charity, as am I. But I will still shop there.
As for cutting up used clothing, I'm all for it.I'm not seeing those that can use the clothes looking when I'm out and about. There must be other ways these stores get items to those who cannot afford to purchase.
