    Smile Recognised Blocks!

There is a UK TV programme called ‘Escape to the Country’. Would-be buyers are shown around three different properties in rural UK.

In today’s programme I got a great surprise. When the couple viewed the bedrooms in a property I was able to name the block pattern used for the quilts on each bed. I don’t think I could make them but at least I knew what they were!

I couldn’t have named them a year ago - there’s hope for me yet.

Good for you--Progress. My dh now knows what a fat quarter is so he is making progress too. Congratulations!

Interesting to hear about the husbands - mine can explain what a quilt sandwich is!

I really enjoy watching that show too! It's been many years since I visited the UK but love the countryside. It is fun when we "recognize" quilt patterns.

I"ve watched that show too! I enjoy seeing bits of the English countryside. Have not seen the episode with the quilts, will look forward to it.

I always look at quilts, wall hangings, and floor tiles when watching movies and tv shows. I also look for Aladdin Oil lamps in movies and tv shows set in the 1800's.

    How fun was that?

I asked my hubby one if he knew what fat quarters were. He said "all you can eat buffets?"
