rotary cutter keeps getting stuck
One of my rotary cutters, a "freebie" from Accuquilt that is actually an Olfa but rebranded as Accuquilt, keeps getting the blade "stuck"--I go to use it and it doesn't rotate. I've changed the blade, made sure I only have one on handle, double checked the washer on right, changed the brand of blades and still gets stuck some! I'm about ready to pitch it in the trash, unless someone has another idea?

I doubt it is operator error if it happens sometimes and not all the time. If a sewing tool gives me grief it goes in the trash. Not worth getting frustrated over and it wastes my time. It could be a bad cutter or it could be a bad part on the cutter.

Didn't mention earlier, but it may need cleaning ....... the blades come with a bit of oil on them, and with continual use, they can collect "gunk" and get all gummy and such inside the assembly. I keep alcohol swabs in my sewing room, and will wipe the gunk clean, add the extra drop of oil and put it all back together again.

I have the same problem with both my Martelli ergo cutters. They start out fine then seem to tighten themselves as I cut until they won't roll any more. Then I loosen the nut, and start the process over again. I changed the blade in the 45 but not in the 60, but they both do the same thing.
