Default Scored a Singer treadle sewing machine base!

I was at the recycling center and saw a truck loaded with scrap metal, including a black iron Singer treadle sewing machine base, getting weighed and ready to sell it all for scrap. I ran over and asked them if I could buy it for $20 and it became mine! It's beautiful and I've wanted one for awhile. You just never know what will show up there. I'm excited!

You must have eagle eyes! What do you have planned for your great find Therese?

I plan to put a top on it and use it as a table. I'm thinking wood but other materials are an option too.

Eagle eyes, haha. When I saw that base I ran toward it with no hesitation!

I realized a few nights ago that our neighbors have their dining table set on two treadle bases.

    Cheers, K

I'd love to do something like that too - those bases are so pretty!
