If it doesn't look right to you, add some cornerstones of one of the bright fabrics or a solid in your friend's favorite bright color and then use it for the first border. That would unify it. You've done a good job distributing your strips.

Thanks, everyone. I feel better. IrishRose, I think this is copied from a scrappy quilt you shared with me the last time I was trying a scrappy...for a charity quilt. I know yours had wonderful star-like cornerstones. Way too advanced for me., but I loved the look.

I am beginning to "see" how this may look. Maybe I will have tome to work on it later today. No fireworks here in Texas this year...illegal, as we are way too dry and wild fires could be started too easily. I think it as a good decision to make them illegal. Hope my country neighbors agree.

The star cornerstones weren't hard, but they were time consuming. I was thinking just regular square cornerstones for this one. Being a red lover, I am thinking red would be good, but when I look at the picture, I like lime, too.

I like the red idea too, but I think my friend likes lime. I'll ask and see what she thinks. I can do regular square cornerstones....I think.

The beauty of scrappy quilts is that you don't need to worry about what goes next to what - it will all look good together when you get it sewn. Don't agonize over it, just stitch it together. I think your white sashing will look great.

Just for the sake of experimenting, Please try black sashing.
I think the white is too harsh of a contrast and black will make those blocks pop! and add corner stones at the intersections. Maybe that great lime or red in your strips!

You've got a good start on a nice scrappy so take your time and don't rush. Do some fabric audtions. You will find something great rather than just "what you planned".
