    Default Seam stick

I watched a seam stick being used recently & decided I’d add one to my “tool box”. Anyone make their own or purchased it ?

BTW, anytime I put a keyword in the search box at the top of the page, I get everyone’s response concerning the said keyword, but all responses are blank. This has been going on for a while now.

I have the same issue, but I hit "refresh" and I can see the responses. Have not seen a seam stick!

You need to click refresh to see past comments or contents. On my iPad, it’s that little circle arrow thing at the top of my iPad. A kind QB member pointed it out to me. I have a piece of 1-1/2 inch square piece of wood about 8 inches long that I sometimes use for pressing.

I have one and use it when I'm opening seams. You are talking about the half round wood sticks covered by canvas to use to press open seams? It works fine.

It is called a 'strip stick' .. I made my own. Purchased some 1" wide diameter half dowel ,cut to desired length, glued some cotton batting around it, trimming so there was no overlap.. and made a plain colored fabric sleeve to slide over.
works a treat when pressing jelly roll seams etc , so you do not inadvertently press other seams again or in wrong direction

It looks like and is shaped like half round moulding used in wood working or for baseboards. Check the local hardware stores or big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot and you can probably get 6 to 10 feet or more of it for a few dollars. They will also cut it down for you, free of charge. I think it also comes in different round sizes. For comparison, Nancys Notions is selling 16 inches for 13.99.
