Are you looking for the traditional version with the full pieces pieced in? There is a version with striped fabric and appliqué. There is a version done in block form with a seam in the football shape. There is yet another version where the rings are pieced, the edges are turned under and they are appliquéd to a background.

Thank you Fabric Lover for those free patterns.I have printed off Quilt Mag and I,m going to give it a try. Not sure if this was the one I saw but hopefully will do my job.
