We had a 3rd little girl gr baby born in the same family. I made 2 dolls for the 2 older ones. I used muslin for their dresses. While the dresses were in the flat stage, I sewed rows of selvedges to the dresses. Picture a flapper dress with fringe, that is how I sewed the rows on......There were things for them to find, numbers, letters, colors. when the dresses were washed the selvedges curled up. They were really cute and the girls loved them.

I made this a couple of weeks ago to put a few sewing necessaries in for a short hospital stay. The little bit at the bottom was made from the two pieces I trimmed off the edges, sewn together back to back, so that I could put a few pins and needles in it.
