    Sounds like me! Not exactly the same but we replaced one of our desktop computers with a laptop. Only I left the old keyboard on the desk since it's in a pull out drawer. For the first couple of months I kept trying to type things out on the old keyboard and used the old mouse. Still do sometimes. Nothing happens.

    I just ha ha'd. I did something similar last night. My desktop computer was having problems, so put my laptop in front of it to check something. Kept trying to type something into the laptop, nothing happened. Hit keys again...nothing. Guess not, I was using the pullout keyboard for the desktop. No wonder!!!!
