Tonight I went to an activity at my LQS. There have been many questions about this product. I am not planning to purchase one, but I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked for the lady who was doing the demo. She was doing single fold bias tape, but you can purchase the tip to make double fold bias tape. She did make a comment about the fact that it works better if you press your seams open when sewing your strips together. I asked her about this and she said she usually pressed them to one side. I have always pressed mine open to reduce bulk.

For bias anything, I usually press open.

Yes, less bulk pressing them open in the seam!

If I remember correctly, that machine only does 2 specific widths of binding ... and not the size I use.

    I would want more flexability.

I plan on getting one, I make clothes also for the grand kids. It would be really handy for the little girls dresses.
