    Default Sneaky granny??

So, yesterday my 4 year old grandson spent the day with me. I wanted to just do a wee bit of sewing, to replace some squares on strips, where the bottom square material was raveling so badly, I couldn't stand it. So, I ripped it off, cut new squares, sewed and pressed the strips. Threw them in a jumbled pile. Then I asked Isaac if he wanted to play a matching game. He loved sorting my mess into matching piles. Because of course for my crazy scrappy quilt I have to have my strips sorted he had fun, and it bought me 15 minutes or so to SEW.

My DGD's are two and three yrs. old, and they "help" by handing me squares I request from piles I place in front of them, one child on each side of me as I sew. They are learning to separate the fabrics squares and hand me "only one". LOL! After all, you can only make so many cookies...

Not sneaky but crafty! My granny used to have me sort her button box and string the matching buttons together. It would keep me busy for quite a while. It also gave me a love for buttons and wonderful memories of my granny.
