Default squeak when free motion quilting help

My machine is squeaking when I have the free motion foot on it. The foot doesn't squeak on its off the machine and I play around with it. The machine doesn't squeak when I have any other feet on it. I can't isolate where the squeaking is coming from. Any help? I have a janome 6600 I remember this happening on a brother machine I had but I can't remember what I did to fix it.
    Thanks

Whenever my machine squeaks, it has ling to be cleaned out in the bobbin area. So I would expect it has
something to do with a thread caught somewhere.

I have the same machine and same squeaky noise with my fmq foot....upon some examination, if I squeeze the foot so spring depresses, I can see and hear that there is some rubbing (the shiny surface has been rubbed off) on the pin the spring is around (no clue on the technical names....LOL)....I haven't oiled it for fear of excess running down and getting on fabric, but neither do I have any other ideas on getting rid of the squeak.

I'm assuming you are using a "hopping free motion foot" With my previous machine I had to use one of those also and yes it squeaked also. The repair person said it was the spring going up and down the shaft. My newer machine uses a "hovering" type foot so no squeak, so don't worry but it it did drive me crazy also.
