I bought one for my PQ1500s and like it. Although, it would be nice to have one on a walking foot that would fit my machine.

Good tips. Maybe I'll put together a quilt sandwich and try it again at a faster speed. I usually quilt at a slow speed & didn't know that these things work best at a "moderate speed". I missed the September classes on how to use my machine & my LQS hasn't offered any new-owner classes since then.

i have one for my janome 8900 but i've discovered that i still have to move the needle to get it just right....but once there, it's saved me a lot of grief....and it opens the seam just a bit to really get the stitch in the ditch.....

I have one and like it but needle not lined up so have to remember to move it over a hair and then things go good.

I have one for my Janome and love it. It makes perfect work my NICU quilts.

I have two for my Janome -- one is a regular foot and one is an accufeed foot. It took me a while to play with it to get the needle in the correct position, but it is a help. Being short, I also use them to hem pants as well (it was called a blind hem foot years ago so I have been using one of these for over 30 years).

Same here. I only wish I hadn't waited so long. But I don't like to buy something until my current methods fail or frustrate me. I'm learning to not be so stubborn and The results are life-changing! LOL

I prefer to stitch about 1/4" away from the seam. Looks neater to me. I prefer FMQ.

I didn't realize Janome had one... I'll have to check it out.

I have a Bernina Activa 230 and use this SID foot all the time for lots of different things and find it works very well. As mentioned it is not a speedy foot...need to take your time and adjust fabric constantly just like you would on FMQ
