You need to go into your keyboard "shortcuts" to get some other symbols. Good luck.

Yep... if you've ever copied and pasted to a doc an article about applique, you've probably noticed that Spell-Check wants you to write it "appliqué" - the-e-with-an-accent is Alt 130. There are a whole bunch of these - google ANSI codes. There are all sorts of diacritical marks for French, German, the Scandinavian languages, etc, as well as for fractions and numerous symbols.
    1/2 is Alt 171 (½)
    1/4 is Alt 172 (¼)
Mac shortcuts don't work on a PC, so you'll have to google a list of ANSI codes.
    :)

Do a search on google and it will tell you what the difference is for all the symbols and how to get them.

Thanks cpfrog. Lots of fun - hope I remember these when I would like to use them. Love the little "eyes" ∞ on 5. Esther
