Default Tip for making no waste FG with directional fabric

This is not a tutorial. Just a tip for making no waste FG with
    directional fabric.
The trick is to position all small squares in the same direction.
1st pic. is the fabric I'm using.
2nd pic. shows positioning of the first two squares.
I highlighted the bigger dots so you can see the direction.
3rd picture shows placement for the remaining squares.
4th pic. always good to take a peak and see how your
FG will come out before sewing.
5th pic. shows the 4 FG. You will get two FG with vertical
stripes and two with horizontal stripes. Since I will be
making sawtooth stars this works for me. If you want
all 4 FG going in the same direction then this will not
    work.
    Hope this helps.

Just get it done quilts YouTube did a FG tutorial with directional fabric. It's called "Can I make them fly?"

Super tip. I avoid directional fabric as I am a beginner and often take classes at LQS to get this type of tip.

Thanks for sharing these tips. I marked this post because I know I will be making the FG in the not to distant future.

That is a great tip...now, how do you manage directional fabrics in paper piecing...that one always messes me up!
