I would like to make the Cozy Quilt Tradewinds quilt. The fabric on they pattern they used is Bali Pops butterscotch. QuiltforPD made this stunning quilt with it
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-135418-1.htm
(If you can't link to it, you can use Search at top of screen for Tradewinds to find it.)

I've been searching the Butterscotch Bali Pops, but looks like it has been retired and I can't find it.

Question: do you know where I can find the Butterscotch? Or, do you know which Bali Pops or other selection would be similar? It appears to have deeper richer colors than most. Thanks for your help!

Saw one Friday at Rainbow's End that had similar deep blue colors. Was called Hawaii or blue Hawaii - was a Bali pop package.

Thanks! You did find it! With all the websites selling Bali Pops for $25 - $30, I'd hope to pay in that range. But this may be the only one I find.

    You are good!

Call first to make sure it's still in stock. Some shops just aren't updating the inventory online if the item sells in the shop.

    Very, very annoying.

    Good luck!

Well, I took your advise and called them. They are sold out. So, unless I somehow stumble upon the Butterscotch, looks like I'm out of luck. Do you think the Sangria or another selection of Bali Pops or other strip or jelly roll batiks would work well for the Tradewinds Pattern?

    Annoying, right?

Well, the picture you linked to just looks like it was made from the Bali Pop strips and one other fabric, right?

And it seems you prefer the earthy, warm colors.

I went here http://batiksplus.com/SuperStore/Sup...sortmentID=591 because whether you buy from them or not, they usually have all things Hoffman listed.

And the Bali Pops are on sale right now. That's good!

So scrolling down that page, Sangria looks nice. It's got a bit more blue in it. Spumoni is also nice, a bit lighter than Butterscotch.

Look, they're all gorgeous. You really can't go wrong.

One, though, I wouldn't use in the Tradewinds pattern is the Cappuccino colorway, only because it covers such a huge value range. What would you use for the other fabric? If you go light, it would interfere with the light strips. I like contrast. Clear, defined contrast.

I just looked at the picture on the pattern itself:
    http://www.redroosterquilts.com/shop...quilt-pattern/

Again, it's personal preference, but I'm not crazy about the the light strips next to the light triangle. It messes it up for me. But that's me. It might not for you you or someone else.

Good luck in your choice. Post pics after.

Thank you so much for your input. You really have a great insight to the color values and contrasts, especially with consideration of the second fabric I'll use with it. Yes, I am really drawn to the earthy, warm colors. Sometimes I have to make myself branch out. I really do appreciate your search and helpfulness. l'll look these up and compare and make a decision.

    Thanks again!

I made this quilt using the Cappuccino Bali Pops. I did change the original pattern a little bit so the bottom row completed the design. (If you look a the pattern and then my quilt, you should be able to see what I mean.) I just happened to have this fabric on hand, but I think it would look great in other fabrics.

This picture in the above link is before I added the borders and for some reason I didn't take a picture of it completed. I'll have to correct that.

I LOVE it! The colors you chose are gorgeous. I've resigned that i will not find the Butterscotch Bali Pops. It has been retired for a year or more. There are other pretty ones to choose from. Your Cappuccino is one!
